A Day In The Life Of A Writer (Illustrated With Cats)
Getting out of bed before noon nearly always makes for a disappointing start to the day.
There’s nothing like a hot shower to stimulate creative genius. However, bathing more than once every four or five days decreases mojo.
Writers are not above superficiality: looking at themselves in the mirror each morning is an important part of the creative process.
A light breakfast usually follows.
Then it’s into the office to check the bank account balance…
approach a major publishing house…
and read any rejection letters that came in overnight.
Time to quit procrastinating and get down to business.
Create some drama…
capture that elusive phrase…
and let the imagination run wild.
Really flying now!
This is exhausting.
Time to take a break and grab a snack.
Better go back and read what I just wrote.
Urrrggh.
Ah, screw this.
